Grace's 9th Birthday

Grace's birthday was on the 17th of April and that following weekend she invited a couple of friends bowling for her party. I think they all had a really great time. It crazy that she is 9 though. She was absolutely impossible to buy for this year. She didn't want any toys, she is totally over those. She has most of the music she wants. She has a bunch of jewlery already. Finally she told me that she wanted this outfit from the gymnastics studio where she takes gymnastics. It's green camo capris and a black top with matching camo words on it. It was way more than anyone should spend on an outfit for their 9 year old ($45) but since I didn't know what the heck to get for her and hadn't really bought much, she got the outfit. So it begins, huh? The clothes thing? Oh, she also got some birthday money and really wanted to buy a pair of Converse All Stars!!! Remember those? They're back!

Happy Birthday to Grace...she is definitely your daughter! I can't get my girls to wear Converse. Zach has a pair of camo Converse, and I have a pair of "eggshell" colored, but the rest of my family won't have anything to do with them. :(

Wow, she's beautiful! She really looks like you becca! You'll have to let me know what to do with these big kids. Our oldest is turning 8 this year and it's killing me that she's gotten so big so fast.

Nade me miss you all over again. My cousin is in her ward, small world. Check a couple blog entries back about Connor's dye job, pretty funny looking. Can't wait for you to come out here! Those pictures are absolutely precious. Maybe I'm weepy, but they made me want to cry (could've been the combination of background music...it was playing the perfect song). Anyway, good job being a good mommy. We think your family is GREAT! Keep up the good work...oh, and thank your husband for me for subbing the sunbeams...I hope that it wasn't too wild! Yikes! :)

I LOVED Converse back in the day---3rd grade was dinosaur ones, but the dinosaurs were super small so from a few feet away it just looked like a cool print. I'm so nostalgic about clothes I had growing up...pathetic. But I am glad that kids these days have good old Converse too.
