Puppy Love

My kids have wanted a dog for years! We keep promising them that we will get one but just never have. Well, we finally did it! We bought "Indy" a couple of weeks ago and didn't tell the kids. Mike went and picked him up yesterday and brought him home and the kids are in heaven, especially Grace. I don't think she has put that dog down for more that a minute at a time. It's like he's her little baby. He is a pretty handsome dude though. I think it will be a love/hate thing for me. As much as I am going to try and have the kids do all of the "dirty work" I know that I am going to have to do a lot of it. But how can you not love those blue eyes just a little bit?

I have 6 more months before my promise to Maren that when she turns 8 yrs she gets a pet, will have to be fulfilled. I am not looking forward to it. Good looking dog, yes. But good luck with all the mess!

Oh man. I'm going to be there with you someday, but for now, we are holding off. Your dog is a good looking one though. Did it cost you a ton? Oh, I really need an attitude adjustment...I really REALLY don't want to deal with pets. But good for you, becuase I think they are great for children...just not my children????

I think I am in love. I can tell from the picture that your puppy has teh softest fur ever, he looks soooooooooo sweet! I bet the kids are in heaven, Mike too! What we do for our families, huh?? Be tough about making the kids take care of him, I am with mine. THey do a really good job, it is a habit for them now to feed and clean-up after them. I made sure they knew it was a trial thing first, if they couldn't take care of them, they would have to go to a family that would. Mean??? Heck, it worked.

Oh my gosh!! Melt my heart with that cute puppy dog face. I'm not a dog lover myself (you know that), but that sure is one cute puppy. I can only imagine how much the kids (and Mike) are lovin' every second of Indy (cute name too). Have fun with that Bec. ;)

I'm not a dog lover, but that is a darn cute doggy. How old is he? Hopefully you are not having to potty train him. I hear they can be harder then kids to train.
So now you are a family of 7! How fun!
Love the your brown template color. Looks good.

That dog matches your fam perfectly, what a looker. I understand the love hate thing. And yes, you will be the main clean up girl. I guesss I should say congrats because you just had another baby. Atleast it will feel that way for the next year or two. He is adorable!! Enjoy.

You are brave! We had a Beagle puppy for about 18 months and when I got pregnant with Carlee, we had to give him away. He was cute as can be but too rambunctious. I'm sure you'll do better than me. Have fun with him.

Wow, you are an awesome mom. My kids want a dog (or any pet) really, really bad, but after going through 2 fish in 1 week I just don't think we're cut out to be pet people. You're dog is gorgeous though! The blue eyes are beautiful.

Please please please don't tell my kids you have a dog. Yes I know it's unrealiztic because I'm sure it will come up at the reunion but I can just hear the begging now. I'm trying to convince your dad that it is his grandfatherly duty to provide us all with a dog at their orchard. I don't think he's buying it. :)

I am giggling inside. Good luck with that. My puppy has eaten a pair of shoes a week, and guess who's shoes. She ate my boots last week. I could have a bog about my puppies life that would be way more funny and interesting than my own. I have really been seriously thinking about it. The puppy is SO cute. Call me when you want to shoot it. I'll talk you though it. Seriously they are a lot of work AND a lot of fun. Sounds like kids huh.

Hey Neilsons! Becca, you are brave. I told my kids I can't even consider a dog til we're out of diapers. Since I've had 2 in diapers for almost 2 years now, I don't think it's ever going to happen.

Very beautiful puppy! As with us, my kids (Doug included) have been bugging me for a dog but we have a cat that wouldn't take too kindly to us getting a dog.

We've started the "thinking about getting a dog" stage. It's kind of inspiring to see someone that took the plunge. Such a sweet looking dog.
